One tired mom
Posted on February 2, 2023
Hi friends! I hope this post finds you well. Today, I want to share my story as a tired mom of 5 trying to get my business off the ground while juggling everyday life and busy kids. I know many of you can relate to the feeling of being pulled in multiple directions and feeling like there’s never enough time in the day.
As a mother of 5 young children, my days are filled with school drop-offs, sports practices, and endless loads of laundry. Add in the responsibilities of running a business and it can seem like an insurmountable task. But let me tell you, it can be done!
Starting a business was a dream I had for years, but I was always too busy or too afraid to take the leap. Finally, I realized that I couldn’t let fear hold me back any longer. I had to take a chance and pursue my passion.
Of course, the journey hasn’t been easy. There have been days when I’ve felt completely overwhelmed and ready to throw in the towel. But then, I remind myself of why I started this in the first place. I want to be an example for my children that anything is possible with hard work and determination. I want to show them that you can have a successful career and still be a present and involved parent.
So, how do I make it all work? It’s all about finding a balance and making the most of the time I have. I prioritize my to-do list and try to carve out chunks of focused work time when the kids are occupied. I also make sure to set boundaries and let my family know when I need to focus on work.
But, it’s not all work and no play. I try to make sure I’m still present and engaged with my children, even when I have work to do. Whether it’s reading a bedtime story or taking a break from work to have a family game night, those moments are just as important to me as getting my work done.
I want to encourage all the other tired moms out there who have a dream they’re afraid to pursue. You can do this! Take baby steps, reach out for help, and most importantly, don’t be too hard on yourself. We’re all doing the best we can, and that’s enough.
So, go ahead and chase your dreams, mamas. Your kids are watching and they’ll be proud of you!
